Build Your Own App : Creating RTF Text Editor in Java

As a second post in the series, I am posting my simple RTF Text Editor (without image support). It has all basic functionalities of the text editor with added support for some RTF features like font size, color and numerous font styles (As many installed in your system.)

SCREENSHOT:

Application uses Java Swing for the basic widgets. I had to google a lot to get some basic idea about various functionalities, and I thought my post would help someone googling the same. Search and Replace utility is one thing that the application does not support, and I will try to add it as soon as possible.

Hope this post helps the developers in need. Cheers!

Project Files

Executable jar file

So that’s it! We will meet again with another app next time 🙂
